So, I'm still alive. It's quite hard to believe that due to the scarcity of my blog posts despite my constant promises to update my blog more often (Fun fact: It was even in my New Year's resolution, which I did inevitably break a day after.) My schedule's been quite hectic these past months due to school, projects, and all these deadlines, especially that finals are approaching  I'd like to keep this blog post brief, as I have some really important exams to study for.

First of all, I'd like to address the fact that there are around 10 of you guys now. It may seem like a small thing for others, but it's a really big thing for me. This blogging thing is something unfamiliar and new for me, quite like uncharted territory. It's hard for me to believe that people would actually care enough about my life or find my posts entertaining enough, so thank you.

Also, it has come to my attention that several classmates of mine has found this blog (you know who you guys are). I ask you to keep this blog under the radar and not to spread the word about it. You guys can still peruse through it occasionally. It's just that privacy is something I value a lot in life, and I hope you value it as well.

I end this blog post with a wholehearted promise to update this blog much more often this summer vacation and a playlist I recently made on my 8tracks account. I hope you enjoy it!

This blog post is merely a product of a random spurt of inspiration, which seems to be a running trend in my blog. (whoops) I do apologize for the series of rambles above, as my mind may not be in its best state, a side effect of cramming projects late at night.

Late Night Thoughts

I often think that the night is more alive and more richly coloured than the day.
Vincent Van Gogh

I ALWAYS TEND to get inspiration to write at the weirdest moments. Take now for instance, at 12:00 midnight, wrapped in a blanket burrito while listening to Mumford & Sons for what seems to be the hundredth time this week*, I suddenly feel a ping of inspiration strike.

"Why does it have to be now?" would be my usual thoughts on these kinds of occurrences, but I've decided that I'd be taking advantage of it. There have been many times where I had sat in front of my laptop, fingers poised over the keyboard, only to have my mind as empty as a white blank page.

I do admit it, I'm a frustrated writer. Wait scratch that, I hardly even consider myself a writer. My "writing style" or whatever you call it always tends to be repetitive, ending up as incessant rambles as I oh so desperately try to express my trivial thoughts and opinions.

Random spurts of inspiration at the wrong moments aren't my only problems as a frustrated writer. Another one of those dilemmas are the lack of topics to write about. This wouldn't be a problem if my life was as event-filled and exciting as others in the blogosphere. Sadly, it is not. I am fully aware of the fact that my life is extremely uneventful, my social activity bordering on nonexistent.

As for the quote above, I've recently seen it on my Tumblr dashboard. It caught my attention, not only because it was uttered by one of my all time favourite artists, but also because it seemed quite fit for situation, seeing that it is nighttime after all.

Though Van Gogh might have been referring to the colours of the night literally, I interpreted it differently. I tend to do this often, looking for the deeper meanings of even the shallowest of quotes. For me, the quote talks about the beauty of the night, how unappreciated it is compared to daytime. It's at night where you ponder about the little things in life, which when you look back later on life, are the big things after all. It's at night when you think of all these thoughts and ideas you wouldn't even dare think of during broad daylight. It's at night where you can truly be yourself, free from all the judging stares. Well at least, for me.

So these are my late night thoughts. I do hope you understand them amidst their disorganization and all that jazz.

*you can never get tired of Marcus Mumford's beautiful voice and those amazing banjo riffs

kudos to you if you get those mumford & sons and chicago (the musical) references

also, this blog post is highly unedited, thus this post may or may not contain various grammatical errors and the likes

So I just turned thirteen recently on September 12 and I honestly don't feel any different. I was supposed to post this on my birthday, but due to the hectic schedule and distractions, I wasn't able to.

My birthday was spectacular, I got to plant a tree and all that jazz. Our class tree planting was scheduled on my birthday, so I got to spend it planting two seedlings at Biak-na-Bato National Park and singing High School Musical songs off key on the bus trip back home. It felt good giving back to Mother Earth. (I feel so eco-friendly right now.) It was a miracle didn't trip on the trek on the way there. I'll update this post soon with the pictures, they're still with my classmates.

I was flooded with birthday greetings from Twitter, Facebook, and especially Tumblr. I'd like to thank everyone who greeted me, they really brought a smile to my face. It almost made me forget about the stress that school brought, emphasis on the almost.

As I've stated earlier, I still don't feel "thirteen". I honestly still feel like a twelve-year-old with the maturity of a six-year-old. These thirteen years of my life have been great so far and I hope they continue in their greatness.

By the way, Lorde's new song Team just came out yesterday and I've been listening to it on repeat for a couple of hours or so. It's beautiful oh my god.
Here's a free download link for the song!

Once again, this post is still not proofread or anything, so expect so grammatical errors and stuff. If you saw this post yesterday or something, it was incomplete and oh well I apologise for the inconvenience.

Hello there!

So, I've been wanting to make a "legit" blog for quite a long time. This is probably my tenth attempt at making one, and I am determined to stick with this one for a change.

I guess this is the part where I'm supposed to be introducing myself. Hello, my name is Isabella and I am twelve-going-on-thirteen. This blog would probably be
a little compendium of my thoughts, opinions, and pieces of my not-so-interesting teenage life.

Well I'm a newbie with this "blogging" thing and I honestly don't know what I'd do with this blog. Perhaps it would be filled with trivial pieces of information, rants about school, or God know what, but I assure you dear reader, I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

(by the way follow my blog with Bloglovin)

((do you see that hp reference haha))
